Shipping Clerk

Job Purpose:

Sanmina is looking for a Shipping/Order Processing Clerk to join our Operations in Carrollton, TX. The candidate should have experience in packing, shipping, and invoicing customer orders.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create shipping documentation, including export documentation
• Process shipment orders, pack products, and ship products
• Schedule pickups with transportation carriers
• Load trucks and operate forklift
• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents
• Assure orders and shipping quantities match packing list/invoice documents
• Maintain all data and records relative to shipping activities
• Complete payment invoicing in Oracle
  
  

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma
• 1-2 years experience in shipping, order processing, or related experience
• Proficient computer and data entry skills preferred
• Oracle experience and knowledge of export documentation is desired
• Stand-up forklift driving skills required
• Must be able to climb ladder stairs
• Ability to follow oral and written guidelines
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Detail oriented
• Has willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent punctuality, good attendance, and reliability required
• Adherence to health and safety regulations
• Able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Physical Demands

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moving PITs. Required to stand, walk, sit and use stair ladders; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch. May need to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
