The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Practice Manager (PM) is responsible for all day-to-day operations of two busy outpatient practices located in Orange County. The PM is responsible for all workflows and the patient experience from the initial phone call, to the outpatient visit to scheduling a procedure and follow up care. Additionally, the PM is responsible for making sure that the clinical staff have the support and tools they need to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities



  • Direct all aspects of the faculty practice, including providing on site management and quality control related to direct outpatient care.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and motivate all members of the non-clinical team.
  • Ensure adequate staff coverage.
  • Develop workflows that are standardized across all locations.
  • Accountable for the daily reconciliation and deposit of service payments.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, referrals and authorizations and cash management.
  • Monitor clinic manager dashboard including, but not limited to: Front Desk, Scheduling, Referrals, In Basket management, etc.
  • Monitor all work queues for completion as they apply to practice operations.
  • Monitors completion and processing of all front-end Revenue Cycle activities including, but not limited to, physician billing; copay collection, charge champion, monitoring physician note closure, adherence to billing compliance and all Revenue Cycle procedures, etc.
  • Produce reports on volume, missing charges, and other important analytics.
  • Review Press Ganey scores and focuses on improvements to the patient experience.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining office and medical supplies.
  • Coordinates onboarding of all new clinical hires.
  • Responsible for setting clinical schedules and allocation of space for outpatient practice period.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.


Other Requirements



  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff.
  • Expertise in physician reimbursement, including knowledge of billing.
  • Practical knowledge of Excel, Word and EPIC EMR
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in healthcare front office environment with at least 3 consecutive years in an office leadership capacity, preferably in a high-volume ambulatory practice.
