      | Job Description | ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is currently seeking several Fitness Attendants.

        CRW) as a Fitness Attendant! 
        CRW is dedicated to enhancing the recreation and wellness lifestyles of the 
        ECU community through structured, self-directed, and educationally oriented programs. We aim to foster responsible citizenship, provide leadership experiences, and promote lifelong skills for physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being. Supporting the Division of Student Affairs' commitment to purposeful well-being.
 
 Responsibilities (include but not limited to): 
        
 Provide a world-class member experience with exercise education, equipment orientations, answering member questions, and managing emergenciesMaintain and clean fitness equipment according to standards and protocolsUtilize necessary software applications for facility operationsApply risk management strategies to protect everyone and minimize liabilityIdentify and report potential hazards to ensure a safe environmentEnhance your skills through professional development and trainingUse effective communication techniques with members and guestsAdapt to various personality styles and backgrounds when assisting membersIncorporate feedback to improve professionalism and future experiencesApply exercise science knowledge to assist members during workoutsPerform other duties as assigned

      | Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) | Qualifications: 
        
 Must be a currently enrolled ECU student in good academic standingExcellent communication skillsKnowledge of fitness equipment and safety standardsAbility to work independently and as part of a team for a minimum of 6 hours per weekMust be CPR/First Aid/AED certified or able to obtain certification within 60 days of hireFlexible work availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and ECU sanctioned breaksDemonstrated ability to manage and lift a minimum of 60 pounds.
