Converting Operator - 2nd Shift

Pay:$21.59-$28.40, based on experience, with a $1 shift differential

Shift:2nd Shift, 3p-11p Monday - Friday, with occasional OT on Saturdays as needed

When your actions lead to success:

• Set up and safe operation of pouch machine
  
  
  
  • Perform as the operator on pouch/bag machines
  • Troubleshoots and resolves mechanical maintenance problems on pouch/bag machine
  • Keeps the pouch/bag machine area well supplied with materials for the next shift
  • Continuously monitors pouch/bag machine operations for efficiency, quality and minimal scrap
  • Ensure bag/pouch quality
  
  
  
  
• Provide leadership and expertise to other team members
  
  
  
  • Train converting assistant team members
  
  
  
  
• Maintains accurate production records
  
  
  
  • Reads and understands specification sheets
  • Ensures production logs are legible, accurate and on time
  • Communicates well and interacts with other departments
  
  
  
  

When your expertise drives us:

• 1+ years operating a bag/pouch machine
• 2+ years production experience
• Ability to read a measuring tape
• Must have prior production experience
• Must have basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Must be able to read for information
• Must have strong leadership skills
• Basic computer skills
• Operator experience
