What to Expect Tesla is looking for a proactive and organized Production Coordinator to join our dynamic Operations Team. This essential role focuses on maintaining consistent and efficient production by managing staffing, logistics, equipment qualifications, equipment operation, and quality assurance. The Production Coordinator will collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure production output aligns with customer requirements while maintaining safe, smooth, and compliant site operations. What You'll Do Manage daily staffing requirements for the production unit to maintain operational readiness across shifts Act as the primary liaison with third-party labor providers to ensure adequate headcount, training, and performance standards Coordinate the flow of finished goods through ground transportation for timely and accurate customer shipments Oversee routine testing and inspection of production output to meet internal standards and customer specifications Lead qualification and readiness of mobile and fixed equipment used in the production process Ensure accurate daily accounting of produced materials and generate performance reports for leadership review Support special projects focused on process improvement, safety enhancements, and new production capabilities What You'll Bring Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, oilfield production, chemical plant operations, or refinery production environment Proven track record in managing labor, including third-party or contract staff Experience in establishing operations for new equipment and processes Strong knowledge of production logistics, quality assurance, and equipment operation in industrial settings Excellent communication and organizational skills for cross-departmental coordination Familiarity with ERP systems, production reporting tools, and basic quality tracking systems Demonstrated commitment to safety compliance, operational reliability, and continuous improvement and must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Essential Physical Requirements: Mobility to walk production floors, climb stairs, and inspect equipment Physical ability to bend, crouch, or reach to troubleshoot machinery or vehicles Competence in operating handheld tools or diagnostic equipment Willingness to travel between sites, requiring physical stamina Tolerance for working in non-climate-controlled environments (heat, cold, noise) and wearing required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, and respirator if required) Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
