Job Description
The Director of Quality is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Quality Systems program across multiple manufacturing facilities. Develops, interprets and implements companywide quality policies, manages and implements quality systems, and facilitates compliance inspections. Manages QA operations to support manufacturing, testing and releasing of raw materials, semi-finished materials and finished product under FDA standards and internal procedures.
- Establish, implement and communicate a strategic site quality vision which aligns the organization to protect the trust of our consumers and brands, and enables SEE to grow in the market
- Manage analytical Quality control, process control, raw material, semi-finished and finished goods quality control.
- Affectively manage food safety (GFSI) program and all associated re-requisite programs.
- Recommend systems for audit; write audit plans, coordinate scheduling, conduct and write reports to close audits. Follow-up on corrective actions.
- Ensure proper coordination of customer-initiated audits and mock regulatory inspections, and manage regulatory facility inspections.
- Manage documentation, reporting, and closure of compliance issues.
- Analyze data relating to process validations, process controls, and continuous process improvement efforts. Focus more on leading than lagging indicators. Coordinate the necessary quality adjustments as needed.
- Review relevant GMP documents for compliance to company SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the following investigations: nonconforming product, customer complaint, laboratory out-of-specification, and root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action implementation
- Provide guidance and direction for managing high impact Product Incident Investigations, Near-Miss programs, and potential Customer Service impacting issues.
- Provide guidance, interpretation, support, training, and input on the interpretation and implementation of regulations, guidelines, company procedures, and policies.
- Challenge the quality organization to innovate, adopt best practices and drive prevention related programs that deliver on Cost of Quality reduction initiatives, and enable breakthrough performance globally
- Develop and work with staff to implement quality process controls relating to all areas of operation, including the following systems: quality, facilities and equipment, materials management, production, packaging, and labeling.
- Prepare and conduct the Quality Management Review meetings with senior management.
- Continually assess, build and develop the capability of the quality team members to properly support the business and ensure individual career growth opportunities and succession planning for critical quality roles across the site/network

Qualifications
- BS in Scientific Discipline; Engineering or Chemistry Preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years of increasing responsibility and experience in quality and/or engineering in a global manufacturing environment.
- Preferred meaningful assignments in manufacturing, engineering, and/or manufacturing quality within companies recognized for achievement of best practices in lean manufacturing/execution
- Inclusive leader with 5+ years of management of people experience
- Ability to lead through influence, manage ambiguity, and demonstrate managerial courage to deliver against business objectives.
- A well-rounded business person with strong organizational savvy, who partners effectively with cross functional stakeholders to earn respect and trust at all levels of the organization
- Strong communication skills - both written and oral.
- Ability to present on various topics to executive committees when requested and/or discuss detailed issues with plant personnel
- A person with a reputation of having driven quality and engineering improvements into a large and complex organization
- Experience and ability to coach the broader team to enable effective problem solving, use of broad based statistical analysis, focused consumer data management, ensuring E2E process control and capability
- Strong emphasis on quality tools (such as FMEA, FTA, QFD, SPC, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Ability to travel ~10%-20%
