About the role:

Perform support activities required to maintain a high level of availability and stability for one or more applications including incident/problem analysis and resolution, change deployment and certification, application performance, application operations management and development support.

About the Team:

This is a small high-impact technical team under our Wealth and Retirement LOB operating across a wide range of systems and disciplines. The team is responsible for the design, integration, maintenance, and evolution of complex infrastructure and software systems - spanning backend services, deployment pipelines, data pipelines and internal tooling, and sometimes even hardware interfaces or operational support.

What you will be doing:

• Provides technical support activities for a software production processing environment. 24-hour support on a rotation basis

• Demonstrate ability to analyze complex technical issues methodically and develop effective solutions.

• Manage disaster recovery and create backup strategies for cloud-based systems

• Installs, maintains and supports application/source code and/or its components and subsystems including third party software.

• Troubleshoot ability and resolve any issues related to the cloud environment

• Detects, diagnoses and reports related problems.

• Analyzes and resolves incidents, problems or known errors related to failures in application and supporting software components.

• Follows escalation procedures, when appropriate, to resolve incidents, problems or known errors in a timely manner.

• Uses appropriate diagnostic tools to isolate and resolve incidents, problems or known errors.

• Monitor and maintain multiple (hybrid) cloud environments for the organization

• Documents workflows, knowledge articles, and anything under the service management framework

• Develop automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of cloud-based resources

What you will need:

8 + years of experience (4 of the following 6 items):

• Cloud services (Azure or AWS) experience of Architecture and asset deployment

• Network skills: LAN/WAN, NSG, ASG, TCP/IP, end point security , network security, firewalls etc., to a basic administrative knowledge level - understanding TCP network flow and identifying communication failures

• Must have experience with Linux O/S as an administrator - System monitoring and performance tuning.

• Scripting usingat least 2 of the following; Groovy, Perl, PHP, Bash, JavaScript and Python (some knowledge of GO or Java as an alternative)

• Experience in the design of cloud architectures. (Example: creating logical architecture design which includes redundancy)

• Application deployments and experience automation(CI/CD). Configuring and management install tools to automatically build /deliver applicationto different locations - Eg Ansible, Octopus.

5 + years' experience (4 of the following 6 items):

• IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)

• Implementing, and managing cloud-based systems and applications - soft skills

• One of Bicep, Terraform, CloudFormationor other IAC

• Conceptual knowledge of Firewalls, VPNs, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS

• Oracle Database & SQL experience

• WebLogic Application Server or similar enterprise application management experience

Added bonus if you have:

• Proficient using service management tools and software (Service Now, Jira)

• BS degree in Computer Science

• Cloud Certifications
