We are seeking a high-performing Manager, Executive Talent Sourcing, to build and scale our executive research and sourcing function from the ground up. In this player-coach role, you will lead a team of Executive Talent Sourcers, setting the standard for excellence while also directly supporting our most complex and high-priority leadership searches.

You'll design sourcing strategy, talent intelligence infrastructure, and best-in-class research practices to support the attraction of top executive talent across DaVita. This is a rare opportunity to shape how a Fortune 500 company identifies and engages its future leaders. You'll help us evolve into a more strategic executive recruiting function that plans ahead, engages top talent early, and delivers exceptional outcomes for the business.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

Team Leadership and Coaching

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Executive Talent Sourcers supporting Director-level and above roles.

  • Serve as a player-coach, balancing team leadership with hands-on sourcing responsibilities while setting the bar for quality and approach.

  • Design what "great" looks like for executive talent sourcing, setting clear performance expectations, providing coaching and real-time feedback, and guiding professional development.

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-integrity team culture aligned with DaVita's core values.

  • Model best practices, provide training, and develop resources to ensure quality and consistency across the team.

Strategic Talent Research & Market Intelligence

  • Guide the team in creating talent maps, org charts, compensation benchmarks, and market insights aligned to business needs.

  • Personally lead talent research for the most senior or complex searches, partnering directly with recruiters and business leaders.

  • Translate market insights into strategic recommendations for executive search strategy, pipelining, and succession planning.

  • Drive the transition from reactive search to proactive pipelining by identifying future leadership needs, building talent pools in advance, and surfacing strategic opportunities for engagement.

  • Build and maintain strategic talent communities for recurring or anticipated leadership needs, creating long-term pipelines aligned to succession plans

  • Leverage external platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, TalentNeuron, SeekOut) to generate actionable intelligence.

Process Design & Operational Excellence

  • Build and document scalable sourcing processes, research templates, and quality standards.

  • Define SLAs and metrics to evaluate sourcing effectiveness and research impact.

  • Create dashboards and research outputs that are clear, visually engaging, and useful for decision-making for recruiters and stakeholders.

Technology Enablement & Data Strategy

  • Serve as the team's functional expert for sourcing and talent intelligence tools.

  • Recommend and implement tools that improve executive talent mapping, engagement, and tracking.

  • Explore AI-driven sourcing and scheduling tools and workflow automation to increase efficiency and expand reach.

  • Partner with People Analytics and TA Operations to design reporting and sourcing performance dashboards.

  • Analyze outreach performance and funnel data to refine sourcing strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Executive Talent Acquisition Partners (ETAPs) and hiring leaders to align sourcing strategies to evolving business priorities.

  • Develop strong relationships with HR business partners and business leaders to anticipate leadership gaps and proactively plan talent strategies for future openings.

  • Contribute to search strategy discussions with market maps, competitor insights, and candidate profiles.

  • Engage directly with passive talent on confidential or critical searches, ensuring a seamless and values-aligned candidate experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in executive research, sourcing, talent intelligence, or executive search (in-house or agency).

  • 2+ years leading or coaching a high-performing team.

  • Proven experience designing and delivering strategic research that influences senior stakeholders and guides recruiting outcomes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to distill large amounts of data into key insights.

  • Strategic mindset and a natural builder-someone who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys bringing structure to new spaces.

  • Expertise with talent platforms and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, CRMs, ATS systems, and other sourcing and market intelligence platforms.

  • High discretion and professionalism navigating confidential, high-impact searches.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.

The Salary Range for the role is $100,000.00-$147,000.00 per year. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position. New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour, Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $17.66/hour, Burien: $21.16/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour, Renton: $20.90/hour, Seattle: $20.76/hour, Tukwila: $21.10/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
