Mechanics Bank is currently searching for an Sr. Operations Specialist (Wires) to join our team. Performs higher level transactions in compliance with regulatory and bank policies and procedures, and in adherence to bank security policies and confidentiality of bank records and customer information. Performs a wide variety of operational tasks, from minor to complex processes or functions. Takes accountability for entire process from receipt of work to resolution and closure. Tasks require coordination of information among various operational areas and customers. Assists in the day-to-day coordination of the departmental functions; work-flow management, and in the coordination of and participate actively in ongoing process improvement and efficiency initiatives within the team. Utilizes multiple system applications. May work in multiple areas of department. What you will do:
Receiving and reviewing incoming work, contacting appropriate resources as needed, entering transactions, verifying accuracy, preparing, editing, distributing, and/or correcting specialized and/or complex documents. Responsible for the accurate completion of work product and data entry to various bank systems and in accordance with established measures/deadlines and assigned goals. Organizes and completes work accurately. Identifies and resolves issues within assigned scope. Provides excellent customer service to internal and external clients. Attends and participates in meetings as required. Performs all other job duties as assigned by manager. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
Who you are:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Comprehensive knowledge of bank operations and banking regulations in related functional area. Must be fully cross trained in applicable operations processes. Working knowledge of personal computers, including word processing and spreadsheet software programs required. Preferred minimum 3 or more years experience in operations of a financial institution. Advanced knowledge in bank operations and regulations. Must be fully cross trained in all operation processes. Advanced knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software programs required. Able to help train others and answer questions about complex situations. Excellent problem solving skills.
#LI-DNI Pay Range: $27-30 an hour Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
