A major financial institution based in Hawaii is seeking a Fraud Risk Manager to lead a newly created team within its Business Services Division. This AVP-level role is responsible for developing and managing a fraud risk framework to protect commercial clients, particularly in areas such as Treasury Management, Merchant Services, and online banking.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Lead the design and implementation of fraud prevention strategies, policies, procedures, and training programs. * Manage a small team including Fraud Specialists and a Compliance Officer. * Collaborate with front-office and back-office teams to identify, assess, and mitigate fraud-related and compliance risks. * Build and maintain controls that protect the institution from financial loss, reputational harm, and regulatory non-compliance. * Develop and execute risk management strategies tailored to commercial banking products and services. *Required Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in risk management, crim justice, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. * 2+ years of leadership experience in fraud risk management or related areas such as compliance or BSA/AML. * Industry certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified AML & Fraud Professional (CAFP), or Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP) preferred. * Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Cultural awareness and understanding of Hawaii's business environment. Preferred Skills: * Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing compliance programs. * Proven ability to build fraud programs or frameworks from the ground up. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
