Web Manager Job Description

The Digital team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management is seeking a Web Manager with responsibility for the governance of the firm's global websites, ensuring effective user experience and adherence to legal/compliance requirements. This role will track day-to-day performance of global websites and engineering sprints to build/fix capabilities. The successful candidate will possess 5-7 years of experience in digital product management, engineering, or project management - ideally within a regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Website Operations: Establish ongoing web reporting to track operational compliance and facilitate workstreams to address necessary fixes. Help identify process improvements and capability enhancements that will help deliver on our digital strategy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Be able to bring together cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, legal, and product, to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure delivery on necessary timelines.
  • Digital Development: Work alongside engineering, design, and key business stakeholders to track the development and launch of website capabilities and ensure successful path from ideation through launch.
  • Content Governance: Oversee publication and maintenance of web content, ensuring adherence to established content standards and managing content lifecycles and audits to remove outdated information.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for website health, user engagement, and lead acquisition, providing regular reports to stakeholders on progress and insights.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks related to website content, functionality, and compliance, maintaining a strong attention to detail.


Qualifications & Experience:



  • 3-7 years of progressive experience in digital, product management or engineering, ideally in asset management or financial services.
  • Proven track record of developing and/or managing digital platforms designed to meet business/commercial objectives.
  • Exposure to design and development sprints including prioritization and resourcing.
  • Outstanding project management capabilities with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with creativity and drive to elevate marketing standards.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $80000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
