As a skilled laborer, you will assist electricians and other crew members in the installation of electrical systems and components. Duties include working with tools, installing conduit, wire, junction boxes, electrical lighting and other labor activities as assigned. Must keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion, maintain a clean work area at all times, demonstrate safe work habits and exhibit proper care of all tools and equipment.

 Proceed with the process of learning the electrical tradeBend and install conduit systems and pull wireInstall light fixtures and connect to branch powerPerform other activity as instructed by the foreman/crew leaderGather and transport required tools and materials to their assigned work areasProvide assistance (electrician helper) to more skilled workers involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components.Learn and retain specific job-related tasks that are taught by more skilled employeesPerform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.Perform work from ladders, scaffolds, and aerial liftsMust be a team playerBe dependable and prompt when scheduled to workPractice safe working habits as directed by the Safety ProgramMaintain the required hand toolsMoving materials to the worksite and ensuring all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely set upOperating equipment like drills, pneumatic hammers, shovels, and other heavy machineryComply with health and safety requirements and company policiesRemoving hazardous materials from sitesSpreading gravel, asphalt, and other materials over surfacesPerforming site and equipment inspectionsComplete on-the-job trainingAssist with composite cleanup as needed Qualifications

 Education, Training and Certifications
 
 High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent studiesMinimum of one year of previous electrical work experience required Working Conditions 
 Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (Hard hat, vest, protective eye wear, safety boots.)Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening process Abilities: 
 The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
