Your responsibilities
Job Summary Reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate entry of materials and goods received into inventory. The ideal person will be informed and organized in documentation of transactions and thrives as a materials coordinator (Shipping, damaged goods, returns). The primary point of contact for all inquires pertaining to shipments, orders and inventory. Job Description Now Hiring: Shipping and Receiving Clerk (

Shift: 9am-6pm Monday through Friday
Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour
Location: Warehouse Floor | Fast-Paced Environment

We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our early morning operations team. This is a critical role where you'll work closely with one other team member to sort local deliveries and load delivery trucks-setting the tone for a successful day of logistics and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a partner in the early morning to sort and load local delivery trucks accurately and efficiently.

  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring materials are handled safely and properly.

  • Utilize computer systems such as SAP to receive incoming materials, schedule inbound shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Oversee the safe and reliable packaging of outgoing shipments in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Process items for shipment using standardized procedures and documentation.

  • Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and related documents to determine priorities, work assignments, and methods.

  • Verify compliance of international shipment documentation with applicable standards and regulations.

  • Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with internal teams and external partners.

  • Keep accurate records, organize files, and perform general administrative duties.

  • Operate safely on the warehouse floor and follow all company safety policies and protocols.

  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.

  • Work directly on or around heavy machinery and equipment.

  • Uphold and exemplify TKMNA Employee Attributes and Competencies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse systems.

  • Good interpersonal skills for working with plant managers, sales staff, and coworkers.

  • Ability to perform basic math and reading tasks.

  • Previous experience operating forklifts, packaging, and measuring tools.

  • Safety-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Familiarity with metals: staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.

  • First Aid and CPR certification.

  • Exposure to:

    • SAP software

    • ISO standards

    • Lean manufacturing and safety programs
