Job Title: Refinery Operator MPC (Operator C)

Location: Salt Lake Valley, Utah

Job Type: Full-Time, Competitive pay and fantastic benefits

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Days, 4 on 4 off)

About the role

We are looking for a Refinery Operator for an open positionwith peoplewho are highly motivated to work in our MPC department at the Rio Tinto Kennecott Utah Copper Refinery. Refining experience is not essential, we provide the training required.

This is a great opportunity to work in an interesting field with a relatively small, close group of employees with an attractive lifestyle roster which consists of rotating 12-hour shifts. This role provides the ability to move up in pay by participating in Rio Tinto training qualifications.

Every hour of every shift, your safety and wellbeing is our number one priority. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor and working in a diverse team, you will be trained to:

* Perform operating duties in the refining process while working around automated equipment, forklifts and wearing proper PPE.

* Work safely following our standard operating procedures.

Where You'll Be Working

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum, tellurium, and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
