We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales Readiness Manager to own the enablement strategy and execution for a specific product line within our portfolio. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales Enablement and Go To Market, this role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive enablement programs that drive sales effectiveness and revenue growth for their assigned product line. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on enablement professional with strong content creation skills, analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with product, marketing, and sales teams.

What you will do:

Product-Specific Sales Enablement

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive enablement materials for assigned product line including sales decks, demo scripts, campaigns-in-a-box, outreach cadences, competitive battle cards, and objection handling guides
  • Create product-specific sales playbooks that outline ideal customer profiles, use cases, value propositions, and sales processes
  • Collaborate with product management to ensure accurate technical understanding and positioning

Content Development & Management

  • In coordination with Product and Product Marketing, develop industry-specific messaging and content variations to support vertical market strategies
  • Tailor content to the various customer journey stages, from awareness to decision-making.
  • Establish content performance metrics and regularly assess utilization and effectiveness
  • Ensure sales enablement content is readily accessible in a Content Management System.

Sales Training & Support

  • Contribute to product training sessions to sales teams on new features, competitive positioning, and selling strategies

Competitive Analysis & Intelligence

  • Monitor competitive landscape specific to assigned product line and maintain competitive intelligence
  • Conduct win/loss analysis for product-specific deals to identify improvement opportunities
  • Create and update battle cards highlighting competitive advantages and differentiation points
  • Provide competitive insights and recommendations to product and marketing teams
  • Track competitive win rates and develop strategies to improve competitive positioning

Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Track and analyze key metrics including content utilization, sales velocity, and product-specific win rates
  • Conduct regular assessments of enablement program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
  • Gather feedback from sales teams on content quality, relevance, and gaps
  • Report on enablement impact and ROI to Director of Sales Enablement and stakeholders
  • Continuously optimize enablement materials based on market feedback and performance data

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with product marketing to ensure consistent messaging and positioning and to understand roadmap and translate features into sales value
  • Support sales operations with process improvements and tool optimization
  • Participate in product launch planning and execution

You need to have:

  • 3-5 years of sales enablement, product marketing, or sales experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in content creation
  • Proven track record of developing sales materials that improve win rates and sales productivity
  • Experience working with B2B sales teams in complex, consultative selling environments
  • Background supporting product-focused sales organizations

Skills & Competencies

  • Content Creation: Strong writing and presentation skills with ability to create compelling sales narratives and technical content
  • Product Knowledge: Ability to quickly learn complex products and translate technical features into business value
  • Training & Communication: Experience delivering training programs and presenting to sales audiences
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in measuring content performance and sales impact using data and metrics
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Technology: Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), content management platforms, and presentation tools
  • Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across departments

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of B2B sales processes and methodologies
  • Familiarity with go-to-market strategies
  • Knowledge of sales training best practices and adult learning principles
  • Experience with competitive intelligence and analysis techniques
  • Understanding of consultative and solution-based selling approaches

Success Metrics:

Product Line Performance

  • Improvement in product-specific win rates and deal velocity
  • Increase in average deal size and sales cycle efficiency for assigned product line
  • Growth in product attachment rates and cross-sell/upsell success

Enablement Effectiveness

  • High adoption rates of product-specific sales materials and tools
  • Positive feedback scores from sales teams on content quality and relevance
  • Reduction in time-to-productivity for new sales hires on assigned product line
  • Improvement in product knowledge assessment scores across sales organization

Content Impact

  • Regular utilization of created content in active sales opportunities
  • Measurable improvement in demo-to-close conversion rates
  • Increased confidence levels among sales teams when selling the product line
  • Positive correlation between content usage and deal outcomes

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Director of Sales Enablement and collaborates closely with:

  • Product Management teams
  • Product Marketing managers
  • Sales leadership and representatives
  • Sales operations and training teams
