Role:

This position is responsible for developing a production plan to satisfy customer demand. Responsible for providing a production plan consistent with the capacity. Strong collaboration with Material Supply Management, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Management will be critical to meeting business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

  • Create and maintain production, work, and shipment schedules and prioritize job orders for production optimization.
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite the flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations.
  • Complete status reports and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, raw material inventory, and finished goods demand.
  • Interact with shop floor personnel daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or to provide additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Accounting.
  • Confer with department supervisors to determine the progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels, and solving production problems.
  • Achieve departmental/company goals and controls. Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Use a variety of warehouse & material handling equipment
  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
  • Ability to provide written and verbal direction to subordinates
  • Ability to allocate resources to accomplish tasks on time
  • Ability to safely meet physical demands of position

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in production planning

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written documents
  • Ability to interpret technical charts and drawings
  • Ability to respond in a professional manner to common inquiries
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence

Wage:

Work Environment: work is performed in a variety of industrial settings some of which

may include exposure to load noises, fumes, and heavy equipment.
