Duties and Responsibilities |
Part-Time/Adjunct Faculty Stipend and Benefits
The Loyola University Chicago School of Continuing and Professional Studies (
SCPS) invites applications for adjunct faculty positions focused on teaching and curricular development of online, foundational science courses, including laboratory experiences, which serve as pre-requisites to Loyola's accelerated nursing program. The courses include:

GNUR 155 and 155L Human Anatomy: Lecture and Lab (4 credits)
*
GNUR 156 and 156L Human Physiology: Lecture and Lab (4 credits)
*
GNUR 160 and 160L Chemistry for Health Professionals: Lecture and Lab (4 credits)
*
GNUR 203 Microbiology for Health Professions (3 credits)
Courses will be offered Fall, Spring and Summer, starting in Fall 2025.
Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and
SCPS missions, visions, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty members will:
* Teach up to 18 credits of undergraduate foundational science courses each year
* Employ teaching/learning strategies for online courses and virtual laboratories
* Collaborate with faculty and staff on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation

Qualifications |
Academic and Professional Qualifications include a minimum of an earned master's degree in a field related to the primary teaching responsibilities. Graduate professional degrees will also be considered. Prior teaching experience is preferred, as is experience with online learning, virtual laboratories, and adult education. We are also seeking candidates with an interest in educational innovation and supporting our population of diverse and non- traditional students within science and nursing fields. |
