Job Summary

We are seeking a technically skilled and highly motivated Sales Manager to drive growth and support for our driveline products. The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive/mechanical systems, experience in technical sales, especially B2B sales, with a deep understanding of the needs of specialty driveline or powertrain service shops.


Thissales role will have travel expectations, and the candidate will ideally reside in the Reno Area and spend time at the Reno facility when needed. All candidates must be willing to travel as needed (50-70% required).

Primary Duties

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Specialty Driveline Shops, OEMs, and industrial clients.
  • Present and promote driveshafts, U-joints, slip yokes, flanges, and related components.
  • Provide technical guidance to clients on product selection, customization, and integration.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and execute growth strategies in assigned regions.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and client visits (some travel required).
  • Maintain CRM data and report regularly on pipeline and sales activity.
  • Provide after-sales technical support and troubleshoot field issues as needed.
  • Directly supervise 1-2 sales associates.


Qualifications

Technical Knowledge:



  • Strong understanding of powertrain systems, driveshafts, and related components.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/specs.
  • Familiarity with driveshaft balancing, U-joint torque ratings, spline engagement, etc.


Skills:



  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to cross-functionallycollaborate and influence others as needed.
    • Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical buyers.


  • Strong organizational and CRM skills (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).


Other:



  • Willingness to travel (50-70%) for customer visits, trade shows, and site assessments.
  • Self-starter with high technical curiosity and customer service mindset.

Education / Experience

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Marketing, Business or related field; or equivalent hands-on technical experience.


Experience:



  • 3+ years in technical sales, preferably in automotive, driveline, or industrial mechanical components.
  • Proven track record of B2B sales growth.


Preferred but Not Required:



  • Experience working directly in or with driveline service or repair shops.
  • Prior work with heavy-duty, off-road, racing, or custom driveline applications.
