Salary range:
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Neurology ranging from $220,000.00 - $289,940.00. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See the Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The Department of Neurology, Division of Neuropsychology, invites applications for a position in clinical neuropsychology. The position will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology, School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine.

The Division of Neuropsychology consists of four adult neuropsychologists, who conduct neuropsychological evaluations of adults with a wide range of neurological conditions. Ideal candidates for this Clinical Faculty position will be interested in working with adults with diverse conditions, including but not limited to: memory disorders, movement disorders (including DBS evaluations), stroke, traumatic brain injury, oncology, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and psychiatric conditions. This position is ideal for a generalist, who can provide evaluations of a wide variety of disorders without specialized focused in any one particular area or condition. Clinics are located in Orange and Irvine and this position will primarily involve working out of UCI Medical Center in Orange.

Qualifications include a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology and completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology. Candidate must be eligible for California licensure or licensed to practice in the state of California.

Candidates should have experience conducting neuropsychological assessments of adults. In addition to direct patient assessment, this position includes supervision of neuropsychology practicum students and postdoctoral fellows.

Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The successful candidate will teach fellows, residents, and medical students, provide patient care, participate in scholarly activities, and contribute to both University and community service.

Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "Neurology" Series: The successful candidate will be expected to conduct significant research, deliver high-quality patient care, and teach fellows, residents, and medical students. In addition, contributing to both University and public service is an important part of the role. Exceptional teaching skills are a key requirement for appointment in this series.
