As an Assistant Golf Professional at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you'll play a key role in supervision of the daily golf operations, mainly focusing on inside operations staff management, as well as, ensuring guest satisfaction by overseeing and providing prompt personal service to guests.

What you will be doing:

* Assist in day to day operations of the resort's two golf courses.

* Assist in overseeing the pace of play and all associated guest needs.

* Assist in management of all golf department associates as required.

* Assist golf staff to ensure the delivery of resorts high guest service standards.

* Operate and oversee staff use of, GPS system, Lightspeed, and WSGA Handicap system.

* Play golf with members and clients.

* Represent the resort in assistant's events.

* Be responsive to guest's requests by communicating their needs to appropriate departments in a prompt and courteous manner.

* Other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

What we are looking for:

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Prior hospitality and/or communications experience preferred.
  • A PGA member or PGA apprentice certification is preferred.
  • Applicants with additional language skills are preferred.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.

* Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error.

* Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write English clearly.

* Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.

* Requires high contact with all types of guests or clients.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Salary Estimate: Hourly Wage - $18.00/Hour + Gratuities, Golf Instruction at 75%
