The City of Aspen is an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Title: Ticketing Coordinator Hiring Range: $27.74/hour - $31.21/hour [Salary Range: $27.74/hour - $41.62/hour] Position Summary: This position supports the ticketing services of the Wheeler Opera House and offsite events serviced through Aspen Show Tix. This position reports to the Ticketing Supervisor and assists with sales and event support, providing optimal customer service and seamless ticket purchase experience, in line with the organization's values. Supervision Exercised and Received: Works under the direct supervision of the Ticketing Supervisor. In the absence of the supervisor, this position may supervise intermittent Box Office Representatives. Essential Job Functions: Ticket Sales & Daily Operations * Acts as lead ticket seller during normal box office hours and events.Process special sales requests (complimentary, discount, group, passes), and door/phone sales at events both onsite at the Wheeler and at offsite locations. Processes transactions for tickets, Insider memberships, gift certificates, or passes. Processes ticket donations or Insider exchanges. * Manages box office ticket sellers onsite at the Wheeler or at off-site locations, as directed. Oversees and assists box office representatives with ticket sales, reprints, will call, waitlist, ticket donations, and patron inquiries. Maintains contact with Front of House to communicate scan counts, manage crowd-size, resolve seating issues, and event start time. Closes out events. * Maintains current knowledge of upcoming show detailsand communicate important and relevant information to ticket sellers. Leads by example and provide exceptional customer service. * Maintains accuracy in a fast-paced customer service environment. Accessibility & Patron Support * Coordinates and documents all ADA/accessibility requests and inquiries, ensuring timely communication of needs to front-of-house, production, and facilities teams as appropriate. * Assists in resolving client and patron feedback through multiple channels. * Contacts patrons to re-seat, exchange, or refund tickets when circumstances require. Proactively identifies such circumstances. Ticketing System & Communications * Maintains a comprehensive and advanced understandingof the cloud-based ticketing system software Spektrix and supports the training of new staff. Assists in keeping the Spektrix system updated. * Assists in pre- and post-show email communications, as well as weekly Aspen Show Tix e-newsletter creation and schedulingthrough Dot Digital and Spektrix. \ * Assists with the creation of customer lists and scheduling of Dot Digital email campaigns. Operations & Logistics * Prepares and reconciles daily depositsand financial business for the box office as needed. * Operates a vehicle and travels to off-site locationsto perform box office operations. Minimum Requirements: Education: High school Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree in performing arts or business administration related field of study is preferred. Experience: Must have at least two years' experience in customer service. Experience in a live event venue box office is preferred. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Experience with box office software (Spektrix) and email communication software (Dot Digital) is a plus. Must have a basic understanding of computers and online computer-based technology applications, which includes accessing web-based platforms. Licenses & Certifications: Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of the start date. NOTE: Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required abilities, knowledge, and skills as determined by the City of Aspen may be substituted for the requirements above. NOTE: This position requires a Criminal Background Check upon hire. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Criminal Background Check. Position Type and Work Hours * Full Time employment, hours will vary with workload and event requirements. * Evenings/Weekends may be required depending on department needs and event calendar. * Work on Holidays may occasionally be required. * Overtime may be required depending on department needs and event calendar. Work Environment: * Indoors: Performing arts center environment and remote box offices, in addition to a typical office environment * Outdoors/Off-Site: Meetings, special events, and trainings. May need to operate a city vehicle to travel to offsite locations. Physical Demands: Bending: Bending or position oneself to move an object from one level to another.
