Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Handle janitorial and maintenance tasks for Harbor Light Center facilities * Maintain the campus's exterior appearance * Assist with facility projects involving vendors, contractors, and coworkers * Report damages, coordinate repairs, and perform maintenance tasks * Track inventory of janitorial, hygiene, and maintenance supplies * Manage pick-ups, deliveries, and hauling as assigned * Oversee fleet vehicle care for the Harbor Light Center * Report completed work orders to the Facilities Manager or Executive Director * Provide regular written and oral reports to the Facilities Manager and Executive Director * Assist with trash removal from buildings * Maintain SDS sheets as required by OSHA * Follow company safety policies to ensure a safe environment * Other related duties as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High school diploma or equivalent (required) * CA Driver's license (required) * Experience in building maintenance and repair work * Experience in painting and light carpentry, plumping, and electricity * First Aid and CPR certification (within first fourteen days of employment - company provided) * Tuberculosis clearance (within first seven days of employment - company provided) SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and appliances. The Salvation Army Maintenance Department Harbor Light Center * Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and hazardous components * Knowledge of all product safety and handling requirements per OSHA-approved training PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
