The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is a senior executive responsible for leading and scaling all revenue-driving functions across Inovalon, with a focus on sales, sales operations, and business development. The CRO optimizes processes, improves pipeline visibility, refines pricing models, identifies strategic partnerships, and develops sales strategies to achieve revenue goals. This is a new role for our organization and is an opportunity to create meaningful impact and drive revenue excellence for a growing organization.

What You Will Do



  • Oversee and be ultimately responsible for Inovalon's sales and business development, while working in a highly collaborative manner with the Business Unit Presidents, to maximize the realization of market opportunity, growth, financial goals, brand awareness, market leadership, and overall reputation.
  • Establish performance metrics, track key performance indicators and conduct regular assessments to evaluate the impact of revenue initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and other C-suite executives to ensure alignment between sales and marketing efforts to drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Build and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, retention and lifetime value.
  • Leverage analytics and data insights to monitor performance, identify internal trends and drive improvements in revenue generating activities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue growth strategy that aligns with Inovalon's business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure a seamless revenue operations framework, integrating sales, marketing, and customer success.
  • Build and expand Inovalon's presence in the market by securing strategic partnerships and high-value deals.
  • Oversee and enhance the sales pipeline, ensuring strong lead generation, qualification, and conversion processes.
  • Oversee sales operations and implement best practices for pipeline management, forecasting and reporting.
  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing revenue team, including sales, business development, and customer success professionals.
  • Define clear KPIs, commission structures, and incentive programs to drive performance and accountability.
  • Analyze competitive trends and client insights to identify opportunities for product and service enhancements.
  • Own revenue forecasting and pipeline management, ensuring data-driven decision-making and predictable growth.
  • Serve as a key leader of the Employer's executive leadership, promoting the Employer's values, driving and supporting Employer leadership in the strategic development of initiatives to identify enhancements which may improve products, services, operations, employee satisfaction, client appeal, process flow, and overall business function, industry reputation, and financial performance of the Company.
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.


What You Bring



  • 15+ years of experience in revenue leadership, sales strategy, or business development, preferably in a SaaS organization.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem including revenue cycle management, real-world data, electronic health records, and healthcare analytics
  • Ability to coach, manage and develop high-performance teams.
  • Proven history of effective leadership in a matrix organization.
  • Significant experience with strategic planning, execution, and tracking to identify both success as well as challenges to meeting objectives.
  • BS/BA degree is required, MBA preferred.

Inovalon Offers a Competitive Salary and Benefits Package

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$275,600 $415,000 USD
