What We Offer

The TPU North America (NA) Healthcare Marketing Manager owns the business and strategic development and execution in the NA region, leveraging the existing portfolio and leading the identification of needed new product innovation for TPU. This position is also responsible for account management aimed at increasing sales in the healthcare segment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop pipeline of new business opportunities with potential customers and decision makers.
  • Develop and manage the mid-to-long term strategy for Healthcare segment in NA in collaboration with internal stakeholders, taking into consideration mega trends.
  • Develop relationships and work closely with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engineers and designers (strategic influencers and decision makers), focusing on medical opportunities to gain specification of Covestro resins in their products.
  • Achieve thorough understanding about industry trends, customer value chains, gaps to current state and maintain networks with relevant decision makers / influencers
  • Work closely with Covestro sales managers and Distributors to translate NA Healthcare strategies into short- to mid-term tactics and pull new specifications through to sales.
  • Direct internal supporting functions, e.g., innovations, operations, product management, product safety, to ensure existing and new medical grades are sellable and available in line with market needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare segment managers in other business units and countries to ensure awareness and synergies across silos.
  • With support of Communications, implement regional marketing communication for the Healthcare industry and coordinate promotional initiatives such as trade shows, social media, e-newsletters.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Business, Marketing or similar degree.
  • At least 6 years' experience (4 years with a Master's) within the fields of marketing, technical sales development and/or resin supplier management within the healthcare and/or plastics industry with demonstrated experience in strategy development.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the healthcare plastics industry and applications.
  • Willingness to travel about 25% including internationally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred is 10+ years' experience in healthcare plastics.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Customer-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external partners
  • Requires organizational savvy and analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess initiative and can work under pressure.
