What you'll do:

As Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for assisting Sr. Relationship managers with all tasks related to originating and onboarding new deposits, as well as assisting in analyzing, structuring, underwriting, and coordinating the closing loans in compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures. You will work with Sr. Relationship Managers to manage loans and deposits, to ensure the credit risks are responsibly monitored and identified, and to provide the highest level of service to customers. You will assist in attaining established Bank, region, and branch goals through active participation in deposit and loan business development activities, as well as underwriting and closing desirable credits with Sr Relationship Managers. You will be responsible for assuring compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.   • Work with the Relationship Manager to interface with clients in-person, over the phone, and via email to assess their deposit and credit needs and determine the best structure and items needed for analysis.

  • Work with the Relationship Manager to gather and analyze the necessary information to present a financing request to senior management or Loan Committee for approval.

  • Coordinate processing of approved loans; ensure loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; obtain sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; assist in solving problems related to processing and servicing of loans within the Relationship Manager's portfolio.

  • Coordinate the onboarding of new deposit and treasury management clients, to ensure clients receive the highest level of service at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.

  • Reinforce superior customer service through your own example along with appropriate follow-through with involved customers and employees.

  • Manage various other underwriting, portfolio management and upkeep tasks and responsibilities related to new loan requests and/or the existing Relationship Manager's portfolio.

What you'll need:

  • 2+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics. Credit analyst training completed.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
