Role Overview

As a Lead Designer on the Growth team, you will drive design strategy and execution across key initiatives focused on helping teams gain momentum and showing the value of Slack. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional partners to create intuitive experiences that help teams unlock value and make users engaged.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead design efforts for strategic growth initiatives, working closely with product and engineering partners
* Drive the influence of design within specific product areas and projects on the roadmap
* Provide detailed feedback and bring work to readiness through design reviews
* Partner effectively with content designers to create clear, accessible, and delightful experiences for users
* Mentor team members and offer peer design guidance

Required Skills & Experience

* Strong track record of leading design for complex, data-driven product experiences
* Experience designing for product-led growth and user activation
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners including product, engineering, and analytics
* Strong systems thinking and ability to design scalable solutions
* Experience mentoring other designers and providing constructive feedback

Cross-Functional Partnerships

You'll work closely with:

* Product Management to define and execute on strategic initiatives
* Engineering to ensure technical feasibility and quality implementation
* Content Design to create clear, intuitive user experiences
* Analytics to measure impact and inform design decisions

* Help new teams gain momentum and find value in their first week
* Drive improvements to core product experiences
* Contribute to design system improvements and standards
* Support team growth through mentorship and feedback
