Summary of Position:

Responsible for implementing and executing all AWPC Warehousing and Logistics strategies. This position will also manage the day to day operations as it relates to the following work streams:

  • Manages the Central Warehousing (Shipping & Receiving) to include a 90,000 sq.ft. offsite Warehouse and a 15,000 sq.ft. on-site Warehouse.
  • Monitor logistics process improvements to increase reliability and "on-time" delivery of materials and segments to P21 Production
  • Manages and oversees all related budgets, training requirements and all facility requirements
  • Continuous improvement projects management in order to meet the LSP Leonardo Production System requirement required by the Corporate
  • Responsible for KPI measurement and performance related to all aspects of Warehouse and Logistics with a Daily and weekly KPIs review with the Management
  • Coordinates all Inventory Management and Material Handling (to include all storage & issue supporting Production and Completions)
  • Responsible of the cycle count of the whole warehouse
  • Oversees and manages the daily operation of QC personnel (approximately 6 people) within the two Central warehouse locations.
  • Oversees qty.2 offsite Distribution Centers located in Louisiana and Colorado, to include qty.2 warehouse personnel at each location.
  • Acts as main coordinator for all AWPC Logistics related to Military contracts (DCMA personnel).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the Warehouse and Logistics teams, providing strategic direction in support of the
  • Company goals.
  • Develops and directs process improvements for the Warehouse and Logistics workstreams,
  • to support efficiency gains in Operations and Customer Support logistics workstreams.
  • Develops and maintains operating guidelines, policies and procedures for all AWPC Warehouse
  • and Logistics work streams
  • Ensures that all required Company Policies and Quality Control processes are maintained,
  • including FAA coordination as required.
  • Establish and maintains appropriate systems for Key Performance Indicators.
  • Understands full knowledge of work streams which delivers KPI results.
  • Directs & coordinates logistics activities by analyzing all company inbound/outbound freight
  • channels to optimize cost and service levels.
  • Coordinates Import/Export control with Compliance Office & Legal Affairs
  • Creates and implements safety and health programs to assure safe and healthy working
  • conditions and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Manages the hiring process and provides direction to Managers and Supervisors including
  • training, team building, scheduling, support, performance reviews and corrective actions.

Qualifications for Position:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management, Operations or Logistics preferred.

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years minimum warehouse & logistics experience, including management experience.

Competencies & Attributes

  • Strong Leadership capabilities skills with a passion for training & motivation.
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Extensive knowledge of warehouse & logistics skills a must.
  • Possess strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work cross departmentally is a must.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point)
  • Must have experience with SAP or other suitable ERP system.

Licensure/Certification

  • Green Belt in Lean or 6-sigma are preferred.
