We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer with 3-5 years of experience, strong engineering and software development skills, and a deep interest in AI/ML, automation, and data engineering. In this role, you'll be a key member of the Finance BPG team, responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, services, and systems that power Salesforce's financial data ecosystem.

What you will be doing:

  • Design, develop, and support data-driven systems for automating and optimizing finance close processes.

  • Build scalable and maintainable infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and cloud-native tools.

  • Leverage AI/ML models to surface insights and streamline decision-making.

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and automated deployment processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, product, operations, analytics) to deliver innovative solutions that drive business value.

  • Review code, provide technical guidance, and share knowledge across the team.

  • Uphold high standards of engineering excellence through rigorous testing, monitoring, and automation.

What you should have:

  • 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Strong programming experience in Python (preferred), particularly for data pipelines, automation, or backend systems.

  • Solid experience with Linux, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), and networking fundamentals.

  • Hands-on with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar.

  • Understanding of cloud-based system design: scalability, monitoring, disaster recovery, performance optimization (e.g., Airflow).

  • Proficient in working with data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), including data modeling, ETL tools, data quality, and performance tuning.

  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies and a willingness to learn and apply new models and tools to real-world problems.

Nice to have:

  • Background in Computer Science, Finance, and accounting systems, or enterprise applications related to financial operations.

  • Experience integrating or supporting ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle ERP) or financial close platforms.

  • Exposure to data science tools (e.g., Jupyter, scikit-learn, pandas, Spark).

  • Experience working with ETL and data integration tools, such as Informatica, for orchestrating robust and scalable data pipelines.

  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for building, scheduling, and monitoring complex data workflows.

  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to lead initiatives end-to-end.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Education

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
