JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Healthcare IT to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare systems, technologies, and regulations, coupled with exceptional project management skills. As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading cross-functional teams, driving project success, and ensuring the seamless implementation of cutting-edge IT solutions within the healthcare domain. Travel up to 10% of FTE in order to serve the needs of Centerstone's clinical organizations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from conception to delivery, ensuring the timely completion of milestones, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Healthcare Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of healthcare IT systems, medical devices, electronic health records (EHR), health information exchange (HIE), and HIPAA regulations to drive informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, clinicians, regulatory experts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish clear objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with healthcare IT projects, and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Project Planning: Create comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and milestones, while considering the unique needs and constraints of healthcare environments. Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with internal teams and external clients, ensuring that project progress, challenges, and successes are effectively conveyed to all stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to verify that healthcare IT solutions meet regulatory standards, data privacy requirements, and align with best practices.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets and resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization of resources while adhering to financial constraints.
  • Change Management: Facilitate the smooth transition and adoption of new healthcare IT solutions within client organizations, providing necessary training and support to end-users.
  • Reporting: Generate regular project status reports, highlighting key performance indicators, project health, and potential areas for improvement to executive leadership.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Strong familiarity with healthcare industry regulations, such as HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant data privacy standards.
  • Revenue cycle management experience, including knowledge of billing, claims processing, coding, and financial management processes.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Redcap or equivalent survey software.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Smart Sheet or another project management software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong and engaging communication (written and verbal) to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Prior experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Years of Experience

Proven track record of at least 5 years in technical project management, with a focus on healthcare IT projects and revenue cycle projects required.

Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, Health Information Exchange (HIE) platforms, and other healthcare-specific technologies. Netsmart/MyAvatar experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

$81,850.00--$122,740.00
