Description

Are you hands-on, mechanically inclined, and looking for a role where craftsmanship meets cutting-edge manufacturing? Join a growing team of skilled tradespeople and technicians bringing custom metal and wood door solutions to life! If you're passionate about working with your hands, take pride in precision, and thrive in a team-driven environment - this opportunity is for you.

What You'll Do

As a Door Conversion Technician, you'll be at the heart of our production floor - transforming raw materials into fully prepped, custom-fit hollow metal, stainless steel, and wood doors. Every day brings something new as you:

  • Customize and prep doors with hardware, glass kits, lites, and sizing modifications.
  • Interpret shop orders, templates, and drawings to bring our designs to life.
  • Work with a variety of tools: welding, routing, grinding, sanding, and painting.
  • Operate forklifts and manage materials across the shop.
  • Collaborate with teammates and contribute ideas for process improvement.

This is more than just a job - it's an opportunity to sharpen your skills in a fast-paced environment where quality and craftsmanship are valued every step of the way.

You'll Use and Learn

  • Arc welders, grinders, sanders, band saws, routers, plasma cutters, and more.
  • Techniques in glazing, mortising, painting, and even light fabrication.
  • Best-in-class safety practices and Lean Manufacturing tools.

What We're Looking For

Self-motivated, hands-on individuals who are:

  • Mechanically inclined with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Able to read technical drawings and interpret shop specs.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working on your feet.
  • Team players who care about safety, quality, and doing the job right.

Experience with welding, woodworking, or fabrication is a plus, but we'll train motivated candidates with the right attitude.

Why LaForce?

  • Opportunity to grow your technical skills and move up in a growing industry.
  • Stability and consistency - regular schedule, onsite work, no surprises.
  • Clean, safety-first shop with 5-S practices and modern equipment.
  • Great benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Ready to build something real with your hands every day? Apply now - we can't wait to meet you!
