About the Role:

The Director, IT Operations & End User Services is a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive technology service strategies across end-user computing, audio/visual operations, and incident management. This role provides executive leadership in managing enterprise-wide technology operations, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining business continuity through effective risk management. The position oversees critical business technology infrastructure, including end-user computing services, collaboration technologies, and incident response frameworks. This role is crucial in translating complex strategies into operational excellence, developing robust IT policies, and serving as the primary escalation point for major incidents and critical technical support needs. The Director leads multiple teams including IT Client Services, Audio/Visual Operations, and Incident Management staff, while ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.

Your Contributions:
  • Develops and executes strategic plans for IT Operations, Client Services, and Audio/Visual services

  • Directs and controls activities across multiple technology sub-functions, including staffing, budgeting, and process improvement

  • Partners with cross-functional leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives

  • Manages departmental budget and resource allocation across all service areas

  • Develops and implements processes to improve team productivity, quality of work, and internal customer satisfaction

  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business/scientific problems that impact success or address future processes/outcomes, applying advanced analytical thought and judgment

  • Continuously learns and stays up-to-date with new technologies, tools, and trends in the IT industry

  • Represents Neurocrine at professional events and may present data and findings

  • Develop and implement IT operational policies, procedures, and standards to optimize organizational efficiency

  • Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks to ensure consistent service delivery

  • Create and maintain IT Operational metrics and KPIs to measure and improve performance

  • Drive operational excellence through process automation and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with IT leadership to help drive goal oriented and a data-driven mindset to help lead the organization through value and outcomes that support the company mission and purpose

  • Collaborate with IT and business partners to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies through technology

  • Develop and maintain IT service catalogs and operational playbooks

  • Help develop and facilitate IT leadership dashboards to support data driven and goal driven activities and prioritization

  • Oversees enterprise-wide end-user computing services and support operations

  • Ensures optimal performance and reliability of end-user systems and applications

  • Develops and maintains service level agreements (SLAs) for support services

  • Partners with System and Network administrators for infrastructure alignment

  • Manages vendor relationships and contracts for end-user technologies

  • Supports colleague experience in the field and remotely in collaboration with the broader IT organization

  • Directs the strategy and operations of enterprise-wide AV services

  • Ensures reliable execution of critical business meetings and virtual collaborations

  • Oversees AV infrastructure planning, implementation, and maintenance

  • Manages AV vendor relationships and technology roadmap

  • Ensures high-quality support for executive presentations and company-wide events

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience in computer applications (such as MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database management systems, electronic mail, and communications), OR

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 10+ years of related experience, OR

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of related experience.

  • Extensive previous managerial / functional management experience is required

  • Expert knowledge of enterprise IT operations and service delivery

  • Extensive understanding of MS Windows, Apple macOS, and mobile device management

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Audio/Visual systems and collaboration technologies

  • Strong background in incident management and ITIL frameworks

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem

  • Understanding of network security and TCP/IP services

  • Experience with risk management and business continuity planning

  • Recognized as an internal thought leader with extensive technical and business expertise

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex change initiatives

  • Experience in budget management and resource planning

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $224,840.00-$325,580.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
