Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not intended to be an all inclusive list.



  • Work as assigned and ensure compliance with Company and Plant safety and environmental rules
  • Work in a two man team or larger group as assigned
  • Participate in shift starter safety meetings daily
  • Condition Based Maintenance - Identify work, generate Work Orders and Follow-Up Work orders as required. Ensure all work is performed with a Work Order (WO)
  • Complete Preventative (PM) and Proactive Maintenance work as assigned - including Safety PM's
  • Report ALL incidents and participate in incident investigations that occur during shift
  • Repair worn or broken parts/equipment in the field or shop
  • Must be familiar with electrical test equipment and troubleshooting. Knowledge of control systems is helpful
  • Maintain, repair or install electrical, hydraulic and mechanical equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on electrical, hydraulic and mechanical equipment and systems
  • Weld, cut and fabricate
  • Remove and install belts, rollers, idlers, pumps, reducers and motors - often requires working from a man lift or work/man basket (at heights)
  • Responsible for clean-up, Hazard and Housekeeping, in areas where maintenance has been performed
  • Be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required

Education/Experience: High school degree or equivalent



  • Electrical Card: Master/Journeyman Electrician License or DMME/MSHA Electrical Repairman.
  • Equipment Operator: Loaders, offroad forklifts, skidsteers, etc. CDL preferred. Crane certification and or Boom-Truck operating and rigging experience preferred.


  • Clerical: Knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent, use of CMMS system (Maximo), copiers, e-mail, good verbal and written communications
  • Work Scheduling: Be willing to work float schedule, overtime, weekends and holidays, as required


Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions; work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. Occasional exposure to work in high, precarious places; extreme heat and cold, and occasional loud noise levels in the work environment.

Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move 25-50 pounds or more. Must not be afraid of heights or working from elevated platforms, man baskets, etc. Must be able to work in tight or confined spaces. Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
