Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a A220 FAL Planning Data Analyst to join our Final Assembly Line department based in Mobile, AL.

This role is responsible for driving operational excellence within the A220 Final Assembly Lines (FALs) in Mirabel and Mobile by analyzing planning and performance data and developing robust Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing existing KPIs, creating new ones, and leveraging Skywise to automate data tracking and minimize manual efforts. A significant portion of the role (30%) will involve providing critical backup support for Mobile's short-term (0-4 weeks) production planning, including schedule optimization, resource coordination, bottleneck identification, and participation in daily production meetings. This position also requires the ability to track industrial milestones, ensure schedule adherence to production targets, and proactively support the resolution of resource and positioning conflicts across various programs and operations.

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Planning and Performance Data for A220 FAL Mobile and Mirabel - 70%

    • Update and automate existing Planning and Performance KPIs for both A220 FALs in Mirabel and Mobile.

    • Develop new fully automated KPIs for both FALs and Planning Teams.

    • Transfer existing KPIs into Skywise to minimize manual work load as much as possible.

    • Develop Skywise within A220 Program Planning Organizations in Mirabel and Mobile.

  • Back up for Mobile Short-Term Planning (0-4 Weeks) - 30%:

    • Support the management and optimization of the 0-4 week aircraft production schedule

    • Track Industrial Milestones, ensuring schedules are adjusted to meet production targets.

    • Coordinate resource capacity (manpower, machines, materials) and assist in identifying production bottlenecks.

    • Contribute to daily MPS meetings/OCC, helping to track progress and report any issues to ensure smooth operations.

    • Assist in managing aircraft positioning and movements across production phases, ensuring alignment with operational needs.

    • Support resolution of conflicts related to resource and position needs between the A320 program, FAL and customer line operations.

Your boarding pass:
  • Education Required: Proficiency in JavaScript is required. Candidates should demonstrate a fundamental understanding of JavaScript syntax, data types, control flow (loops, conditionals), functions.

  • Experience Required: Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Demonstrated ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration within local and global operations.

  • Attention to detail: Strong focus on the accuracy and thoroughness of tasks, with a creative approach to identifying and addressing industrial and commercial challenges.

  • Coordinating meetings: Experience in organizing and leading meetings with diverse teams to maintain alignment, track progress, and ensure that all parties are informed.

  • Issue identification and resolution: Ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions to maintain operational efficiency.

  • Communication skills: Clear and concise in providing updates, communicating challenges, and presenting solutions to senior teams and stakeholders.

  • Time management: Well-organized, able to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

  • Follow all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.

  • Able to follow and encourage Safety by using applicable PPE, following and exceeding Safety requirements.

  • Must be able to be focused on Safety, Team work, Quality and customer.

  • Able to communicate in writing and verbally to various levels internally and externally.

  • Able to understand specification, regulation and various technical documentation (incl. EASA, FAA regulations).

  • Travel Required: 10% Domestic and International.

  • Alignment with Strategies: Contribute to the Mobile Manufacturing Site's needs, ensuring alignment with broader North America and global strategies.
