Job Summary

The HR Data & Business Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to support strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency. This position will identify patterns and provide insight to support decision-making processes. They will develop data models, perform data mining and statistical analysis, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize data-driven strategies. This role supports the development and maintenance of HR dashboards, reporting tools, and systems, while ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy standards. The position also plays a key role in supporting HR systems such as OneUSG Connect.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Collect, compile, and analyze HR data and metrics from various sources, databases, and systems to extract insights, trends, and patterns that inform business decisions, strategies, and operations.

Job Duty 2 -
Develop and maintain data models, queries, and reports using data analysis tools to perform data cleansing, transformation, and visualization tasks.

Job Duty 3 -
Identify trends, patterns, data quality issues, anomalies, and discrepancies in HR data.

Job Duty 4 -
Create data visualizations, dashboards, and data analytics reports to communicate data findings, trends, and key metrics to stakeholders, management, and decision-makers.

Job Duty 5 -
Conduct ad-hoc data analysis, exploratory data analysis, and statistical analysis to support decision-making processes, performance monitoring, and data-driven insights.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform data mining, predictive analytics, and machine learning tasks to uncover hidden patterns, predict outcomes, and drive data-driven decision-making in organizations.

Job Duty 7 -
Utilize data analytic tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), business intelligence platforms, and statistical software packages, to conduct data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization tasks, to be able to present findings efficiently, accurately, and clearly.

Job Duty 8 -
Stay current on data analytics trends, tools, and methodologies through training, certifications, and industry publications to enhance data analysis skills and knowledge.

Job Duty 9 -
Collaborate with business users, Information Technology teams, HR and leadership teams, to define data requirements, analytics requirements, and data driven solutions to deliver insights for business problems and opportunities.

Job Duty 10 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience
Four or more years of relevant experience.

At least 2 years of experience in HR analytics, HRIS, or a related role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and compliance standards.
Experience conducting data audits and ensuring data integrity.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR operational role.
  • Experience in HR Education
  • Experience with OneUSG Connect or other enterprise HR systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday).
  • Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Experience supporting HR system implementations or upgrades.

Salary Range: $75,751.00 - $105,519.00
