Job Summary

Responsible for operating a variety of heavy construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company guidelines.


Essential Duties

  • Operates various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
  • Ensures proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Documents regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of equipment performance.
  • Regularly cleans equipment to preserve its quality and functionality. Ensures equipment is stored properly.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and need for repairs to the appropriate parties.
  • Abides by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures.
  • Commits to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required

2-5 years of experience working with heavy equipment.

The following certifications are preferred:

Trench/Excavation Safety

Reach Forklift (Skytrac) Operator

Backhoe Operator

Excavator Operator

Skid Steer Operator

OSHA 10-Hour Training
