POSITION SUMMARY
The 2nd shift Fabrication Team Lead is responsible for efficient production flow throughout the fabrication process. He or she will also provide support to employees through coaching, feedback and training. The Team Lead is an instrumental part in ensuring day-to-day goals are being met through effective communication with a variety of support resources to resolve problems.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of product into, within and out of assigned work area as needed.
- Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure cross training, policies and procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
- Support the production process by filling in positions on the line when necessary to maintain the flow of work.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Metal fabrication experience required - including by not limited to grinding and welding.
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.
- Experience conducting training in alignment to company policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate job expectations to operators and achieving desired results by monitoring, coaching, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Ability to motivate a team to meet safety, quality and delivery metrics.
- Skilled in analytical thinking and problem solving - including continuous improvement efforts.
- No corrective actions or performance improvement plans within six (6) months of the job posting opening date.
- No decision-making leaves within 12 months of the job posting opening date.
- Most recent performance rating achieves or higher.
- Successfully completed six (6) months in current job bid classification OR current career advancement classification.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $23.90 - $44.40 Per Hour
