ChampionX is seeking an Electronic Assembler to support our Spirit Global Energy business located in NW Houston.

What You Will Do:

  • Performs assembly activities for Variable Speed Drives and other equipment and system products for the Spirit business.

  • Assemble using diagrams, technical drawing packages, blueprints or process sheets

  • Inspect results to ensure conformance with requirements using precision measuring equipment and performs rework as needed

  • Read work orders; accurately follow documented instructions or drawings; position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device; Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, to join or secure parts in place

  • Mount assembled components; and perform point-to-point wiring

  • Organizes and verifies all components prior to completing assembly operations.

  • Assembles basic sub-assemblies and final assemblies following all applicable procedures and documentation.

  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies

  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels

  • Troubleshoot assembly problems

  • Assist with other job duties as assigned by the supervisor

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment every day

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED

  • 1-2 years' experience in an Assembler role; preferably reading technical drawings/blueprints.

  • Experience using hand tools

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Possesses basic computer skills such as Microsoft office suite

  • Must be punctual and eager to improve themselves and their surroundings.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds

  • Must be able to bend, squat down, and reach above your head

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders

  • Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers and fellow employees

  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours

  • This role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
