The Position

The Opportunity

The Sr. Strategic Demand & Supply Coordinator ensures accurate forecasting and allocation of product requirements for strategic customers by incorporating current market information and customer insights into a demand plan and allocation strategy. The role aims to accurately predict customer demand, enabling the supply chain to plan effectively, while also ensuring key customers' needs are met. This includes coordinating material supply interruptions, defining and recommending continuous improvement initiatives, and overseeing product rationing strategies. The coordinator strives to achieve high customer service levels while managing total costs. The role acts as an integration point between commercial and operational organizations, requiring in-depth knowledge of various processes and functions. It also includes maintaining and improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives.

Furthermore, this role involves coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining oversight of material supply for strategic large customer accounts. The coordinator defines, recommends, and leads initiatives for continuous improvement and best practice implementation focused on creating value-added solutions. They identify synergistic opportunities, develop key performance indicators, and represent the Strategic Customer Support and Commercial Supply teams in external, customer-facing opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes demand trends, forecasts, and stakeholder input for assigned product groups using statistical forecasting models and manual adjustments. Pulls data from multiple sources and collaborates with various functional areas to produce SKU level demand forecasts. Ensures alignment of forecasts for related products with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supports new product launch and conversion teams, ensuring demand signals are communicated with proper lead-times.

  • Provides reports and analysis for marketing and supply chain, backorder monitoring, and last-call forecasts.

  • Oversees inventory reserve lot and inventory sequestering processes for key strategic accounts.

  • Works closely with the global supply organization to ensure forecasts are aligned with business requirements. Serves as a key interface regarding demand/supply issues. Supports cross-functional teams to minimize excess/scrap inventory and reduce backorder incidents.

  • Supports finance and marketing during annual financial and long-range business planning.

  • Drives forecast changes to achieve overall forecast accuracy targets.

  • Coordinates with stakeholders on developing and executing strategies for materials on supply interruption.

  • Daily monitoring/review and execution of inquiries/requests for shipments.

  • Coordinates, monitors, and maintains oversight of material supply for strategic large customer accounts.

  • Represents the Strategic Customer Support and Commercial Supply teams through external, customer-facing opportunities.

  • Direct order-to-invoice support, partnering with strategic customers for operational excellence.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • 5 years of progressive experience with research methods, analysis (quantitative and qualitative), pricing, and/or forecasting methods and parameters.

  • Knowledge of demand planning and supply chain processes, materials management, and logistics.

  • Experience in detailing and presenting information with strong attention to detail.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organization and planning skills, including project management.

  • Experience with ERP systems, databases, Excel, Smartsheets, and/or Tableau Reports, SAP applications, and Google Suites.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and effectiveness leading in a team environment across multiple disciplines, functions, cultures, and with external partners.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and influencing and managing diverse business functions.

  • Previous experience in a supply chain environment within the healthcare industry preferred.

This position is based in Indianapolis, IN and has an in office requirement of 3 days/wk.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $78,600 - $146,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
