The Position

Functions as a Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Business Partner for assigned business function (e.g. Manufacturing, Facilities, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.). In addition, will fulfill site-wide to multi-site responsibilities for assigned program areas.

As a key member of our Security, Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement programs that protect our people, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold our dedication to environmental stewardship.

The Opportunity

The position will primarily serve as the Industrial Hygienist. The position will be responsible for evaluating, developing, implementing, and maintaining applicable policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulations and company requirements within assigned areas of accountability. Program responsibilities will include but not limited to: Biosafety, Chemical Hygiene, Dangerous Goods per transportation regulations, Ergonomics, Hazard Communication, Noise, Lasers, Personal Protective Equipment, Radiation, and Respiratory Protection.

Duties are diverse and complex often involving research, analysis and solution development. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of a particular field or business function. Plans, conducts and oversees work involving large and important/complex projects.

Under general supervision of area management, works independently to provide direction and guidance on issues related to areas of expertise to department leadership, business functions and /or SHE staff members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* You will be responsible for developing and implementing SHE programs, conducting risk assessments, and serving as a subject matter expert to mitigate risks and enhance SHE culture.

* Monitors workplace health and safety risks, and advises employees and managers on how to minimize or eliminate these risks.

* Performs incident investigations to prevent recurrence of similar events. Track resolution of issues.

* Communication of SHE issues and programs to various levels of management by the development of data, graphs, reports, and/or presentations related to areas of expertise and assigned program areas.

* Leads and/or participates in the effective performance of broad risk assessments to minimize SHE related risk to products and/or the organization.

* Participates in emergency planning and emergency teams. Responds to emergency situations as needed.

* Facilitates site SHE teams/ committees and participates in cross-functional teams and/or meetings.

* You will support continuous improvement initiatives to improve SHE functions and manufacturing processes.

* You will develop and track program metrics to measure effectiveness, customer adoption, business interruption, cost, and risk.

* Lead incident investigations, identify causes, and implement corrective actions while sharing lessons learned.

* Develops and administers SHE related training and communication programs.

* Supports SHE management with projects or activities as assigned.

Who you are

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Training/Education:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university with a major in a physical science, life science, environmental sciences, engineering, safety, industrial hygiene, or other relevant field.

* Master's degree preferred.

* Will work towards completion of applicable certifications such as: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).

This position is not eligible for relocation.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is $58,800.00 - $109,200.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
