Job Duties: Vice President, Product Controllers with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly Profit and Loss (P&L) and balance sheet reconciliations for reporting Corporate Treasury's secured and unsecured funding businesses, including analysis for quarterly earnings release and ad-hoc requests related to the same. Work with internal Policy, Reporting and Verification teams to assess new trades for accounting treatment, financial statements disclosures and appropriate valuations. Provide data, analysis and variance drivers to reporting teams for external SEC 10K/Q footnotes disclosures. Partner with Corporate Treasury to understand the impact of various business activities, including new business growth, product diversification strategies and business planning for sources and uses of liquidity. On-going price verification processes, where applicable, to ensure appropriate valuation of firm inventory. Drive automation efforts for Funding Controllers, work with Engineering teams to create efficiencies and enhance the P&L reporting process and collaborate to implement the new tools. Work with Internal Tax Reporting for provision of debt hedging information consisting of Unrealized P&L reporting and Interest/ fee schedules. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. Employer will accept bachelor's degree equivalent based on single degree, combination of degrees, or combination of degree(s) and/or diploma(s), where determined to be equivalent to U.S. bachelor's degree by a qualified credential evaluation service. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years with the following: working with bonds or debt securities or derivatives, such as interest rate swaps, leveraging financial product knowledge; utilizing fair value accounting concepts, such as hedge accounting for financial instruments, to ensure compliance with FAS 138 or utilizing accrual accounting concepts; and performing controls around data reported in financial statement disclosures, including reconciliation, variance analysis, completeness and documentation. Prior experience must include two (2) years with utilizing self-service tools to improve operational efficiency around Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting processes.
