Scope: This position is responsible for the quality and productivity of assigned tasks in the Paint and Body department. Tasks include the preparation, application and finish coats on all products passing through the department.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Engage in all preparation, sanding masking etc. tasks as assigned
Perform body repairs and filling prior to paint as required
Apply multiple coats of base coat, clear coat, finish coat, striping as required
Comply with all state & federal regulations applicable to the classification including OSHA, EPA & DOT
Adheres to all ABC policies and Safety policies and procedures
Experience with BASF, PPG & DuPont applications
Keeps work area clean and disposes of paint and paint related materials in accordance with company policy
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years previous paint and body experience
Familiar with pressurized air purifying systems, respirators, ladder and scaffolding safety and material handling safety
Knowledge of MSDS
Employee must possess the tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities
Skills:
Requires good organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and complete assignments within expected time frames Professional demeanor and excellent organizational skills
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be a self-starter and possess a positive attitude
Must have good attendance
Physical Demands:
Ability to frequently move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
