Responsibilities

Join Our Team as an Accounts Payable Manager!

Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for finance? Newport Healthcare is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee all aspects of our Accounts Payable function and lead a dedicated team to achieve our financial goals. This is your chance to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment!

What You'll Do:

  • Team Leadership: Plan work schedules, assign duties, and evaluate team performance for accuracy and neatness.
  • Process Development: Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures, including guidelines for coding invoices to maintain general ledger expense accounts.
  • Financial Accuracy: Maintain accurate financial records and control reports, ensuring overall accuracy in invoice and expense report analysis.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow reports to ensure all discounts are taken, and accurate and timely payments are made.
  • Payment Processing: Oversee the preparation and completion of payment runs, including manual checks and electronic payments, verifying accuracy before controller approval.
  • Reporting: Supervise the compilation and preparation of ad hoc reports as required by management and governmental agencies.
  • Vendor Management: Ensure the accuracy of vendor file maintenance, including new vendor setup and data management review.
  • 1099 Filings: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of our 1099 setup and annual filings.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams across multiple departments, leading staff to foster teamwork and communication.
  • Issue Resolution: Track outstanding issues to resolution with effective, interactive communication.
  • Team Development: Provide consultation, education, and assistance to team members, guiding them on reconciliation and troubleshooting vendor account discrepancies.
  • Recruitment & Training: Recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum ten (10) years of experience.

Minimum five (5) years of management experience.

Experience with Great Plains preferred.

Experience with Concur helpful, but not required.

Intermediate to advanced MS Excel experience required.
