Summary/Objective:

Production Test Technicians perform standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and analyzes results. Over the course of three years, apprentices will learn what it takes to be a trained and high performing Test Tech in the defense industry. Apprentices will work to learn and perform set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.

This is a three year program with a performance and training led step progression each year. All of your OTJ training and course work will be done at our facility. The course work is provided by a 3rd party. A portion of your day will be spent with a mentor as part of your on the job training and a portion of your day will be spent on a computer.


Responsibilities

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete required classroom training
  • Begin to perform operational tests and learn to determine product acceptability and quality on a wide variety of complex electronic developmental and production components, subassemblies and systems by following test specifications, standard test procedures or general written or verbal instructions.
  • Learn to interpret and work with engineering instructions and standard test procedures to operationally test developmental products as required.
  • Learn to understand and interpret blueprints.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Timekeeping system, ERP system, Routing, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with good manual and eye dexterity (precise).
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Associates Degree or Technical Degree in Electrical Technology.
  • Military Electronic Schools or Electronic Training from military.
  • Active Security Clearance.
  • Experience in defense or aerospace industry.
  • Experience as a Test Technician in a manufacturing environment or in the military.
  • Should be able to setup and know how to operate a Phase Network Analyzer (PNA) or Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new challenges.
  • Willingness to take on diverse projects and work with different teams.

Salary Range:Production Test Technician I: $18.52 hr to $25.95 hr. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
