Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra seeks a Senior Data Integrations Developer to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

As a Senior DataStage Data Integration Developer, you will work on a team responsible for the analysis, design, development of conversion programs, Data Warehouse, and unit/ integration testing of the developed programs satisfying the project requirements and business rules for large MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate w/technical teams and functional leads for all aspects of data conversion requirements to develop conversion blueprint(s), data migration plan, data design, facilitate development, testing, and execution
  • Develop and modify complex database applications based on requirements using specific Extract Transform & Load (ETL) integration tools (Infosphere Datastage)
  • Design programs and systems that match the complex Medicaid business requirements and record all the specifications that are involved in the development and coding process
  • Create models and process flow diagrams after analyzing business/user needs in the design specification document
  • Capture key business requirements and specifications for each module of the application and develop pseudocodes accordingly
  • Use Dimensional Modeling Techniques (Star Schema and Snow Flake Schema) to create and identify Dimensions, Cubes and Fact tables.
  • Work on CDC (Change Data Capture) to implement SCD (Slowly Changing Dimensions) Type 1 and Type 2
  • Support the data conversion team in data analysis leveraging legacy data sets and provide the results of the analysis to the client / internal teams and other teams as needed
  • Accelerate legacy data corrections and/or formalization of business rules for effective data migration
  • Create and maintain artifacts as needed by the project
  • Participate in technical / functional reviews and ensure the conversion artifacts comply with Acentra data conversion standards and practices
  • Assist conversion / migration team to perform thorough unit testing of conversion artifacts and ensure smooth transition to system test, user acceptance test, and implementation
  • Conducting the conversion sessions with business owners and technical teams, reviewing the corresponding conversion mapping rules, and documenting the resolutions.
  • Experience in DataStage Server setup (Installation and upgrade), configuration, administration, migration, Conversion code backup and maintaining the versions.
  • Experience in conversion sprint planning based on the conversion/Data warehouse scope and creating the stories and Tasks in the JIRA. Tracking and maintaining by daily scrum and weekly sprint meetings.
  • Conducting the code review meetings with conversion/Data Warehouse Team members.
  • Responsible for tracking conversion/ Data Warehouse development and resolving any roadblocks for developers.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience; preferred majors: Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience performing data migrations of mainframe and relational data, including identifying and analyzing source data, transforming source data into the required format, loading the transformed data into the target system, and validating all source data is tracked and transformed
  • 5+ years hands on experience with IBM DataStage tool for data migrations
  • 3+ years demonstrated skills working with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Shell scripting and relational database concepts
  • 2+ years' government MMIS (Medicaid Management Information system) implementations experience
  • Proven track record in conversion development and cut over experience across all stages of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC)
  • Demonstrates analytical skills and thinking to resolve technical issues in conversion

Pay Range

USD $117,600.00 - USD $147,000.00 /Yr.
