Our Chemical Substance Registration (Global Regulatory Affairs) is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Associate Manager to drive chemical control compliance programs for our Scent business.

As an Associate Manager, Chemical Substance Registration you will be an integral part of Global Regulatory Affairs liaising with other Regulatory Affairs departments around the world, supporting the Scent product line for the North American market, to ensure ingredients are compliant with chemical control regulations in place.

The preferred location for this role is Hazlet, NJ, USA, however this role can be home based/ remote (within US) but might require you to travel occasionally on a need basis (~10% travel overall).

Your key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with chemical regulations, including TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act) in the US and CEPA (Canadian Environmental Protection Act) in Canada.
  • Support the PMN process for new chemical substances in both the US and Canadian markets.
  • Prepare and submit PMN dossiers to appropriate regulatory bodies, monitoring their progress and addressing any inquiries.
  • Manage the TSCA CDR reporting process including annual volume tracking, collection of data from various databases and reporting.
  • Compile and maintain regulatory documentation and databases.
  • Stay informed of changes in chemical legislations and assess their impact to IFF's products, uses and markets.
  • Collaborate with other global and regional functions to meet chemical regulatory compliance requirements.

Who we are looking for

  • You have a master's degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Toxicology, Regulatory Affairs or another comparable technical field.
  • You have 6+ years of experience in chemical regulation and compliance in the US and Canada.
  • In depth understanding of TSCA, CEPA and related chemical regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with Premarket Notification (PMN) submissions and approvals.
  • Ability to work strategically and with flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management competences.
  • Experience with SAP systems.
