Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Test Environment Lead to oversee the setup, configuration, maintenance, and availability of test environments across our software development lifecycle. This role is critical in ensuring that testing environments are stable, secure, and closely aligned with production systems to support high-quality software delivery. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of test environments. Ensure environments accurately replicate production systems to support realistic testing scenarios. Coordinate environment usage across multiple teams, managing demand and resolving conflicts. Monitor environment health and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support project timelines. Maintain documentation related to environment configurations, processes, and demand controls. Implement automation and best practices to improve environment reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing test environments in a software development or DevOps setting. Strong understanding of system architecture, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of modern testing practices, inclusive of end to end testing. Moderate understanding of test data management lifecycles, inclusive of data refreshes, data sanitation, and synthetic data hydration into test environments. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills. Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Six+ years of engineering or other IT work experience relevant to the position.
