Main Function The Database Administrator will be responsible for assisting in the management, maintenance, and optimization of databases to ensure the smooth operation of organizational systems. Working closely with IHA Application and Infrastructure teams, this role will contribute to the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of database solutions to meet business requirements and stakeholder satisfaction. Provide back up support to Senior Director, Application Development and Architecture as necessary. Outline of Responsibilities
Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Four years of experience may be considered in lieu of education. Three years of experience preferred. Strong understanding of database concepts, including relational database management systems (RDBMS) and SQL, including all facets of Microsoft SQL Server and related tools required. Knowledge of designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining high performance database environments and schemas including ETL/ELT solutions required. Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS (Amazon Web Services) and familiarity with API frameworks, specifically REST required. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex, technical and architected solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Proven abilities to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
