Opportunity with Bernhardt Furniture: As a Logistics Analyst specializing in ocean containers, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of international shipments. You'll be responsible for coordinating with carriers, tracking ocean containers, and managing essential shipping documents to support our global supply chain operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily with ocean freight carriers and freight forwarders to execute international shipment plans.
  • Monitor and track ocean containers from origin to final delivery, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Maintain and update transportation reports, including container tracking logs and shipment status summaries.
  • Manage and organize essential shipping documents such as bill of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce delays in ocean freight operations.
  • Resolve shipment issues, delays, or discrepancies in collaboration with carriers and internal teams.
  • Provide rate quotes and manage booking requests for ocean freight customers.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with ocean carriers to ensure capacity and service reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers regarding shipment status and logistics updates.
  • Use sound judgment to assess the impact of logistics decisions on customer satisfaction and company performance.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for international logistics processes.
  • Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

  • Bernhardt Transportation Division



Key Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma Minimum-Some college or a degree preferred
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Programs
  • Proficiency in Adobe
  • Teamwork and participation



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to critically think independently.
  • 3+ years in operations roll.
  • Process documentation experience.
  • Ability to prepare reporting and report to company officers.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate risks and errors.
  • Ability to recommend financial actions.
  • Experience in SharePoint
