Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer
Location: San Antonio, TX (1 onsite with TS/SCI), Remote allowed (1 with Secret clearance)
Status: Full-time
Clearance Level: TS/SCI (onsite), Secret (remote)
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field required (Master's may substitute for 2 years of experience)
Certs: IAT Level II Certification
Must have one of the following (DoD 8570/8140 approved):

CompTIA Security+ CE; CompTIA CySA+; GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials); SSCP (ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

Must have AWS Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Salary: 100,000-120,000

We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to lead the deployment, management, and optimization of containerized microservices across secure AWS environments. You will be part of a high-impact team supporting mission applications within Joint Cyber Command & Control (JCC2) environments, including classified enclaves. This role is critical to building resilient and scalable infrastructure aligned with DoD cybersecurity and DevSecOps practices.

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or DevSecOps

  • Deep expertise in AWS infrastructure services and container orchestration (EKS, Kubernetes, Docker)

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm, AWS CloudFormation

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and deployment automation strategies

  • Understanding of high availability, scaling, blue/green deployments, and zero-downtime upgrades

  • Experience managing performance, security compliance, and patching in multi-domain cloud environments

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in both development and production settings

  • Ability to collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity SMEs, and infrastructure teams
