Summary

As a Quality Systems Engineer (QSE), you'll play a key role in safeguarding and elevating our quality standards. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining our AS9100 Quality Management System, ensuring it remains compliant, effective, and audit-ready at all times. You'll lead internal audits, guide corrective actions, and work closely with our Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality is integrated into everything we do.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and sustain the AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Coordinate and conduct internal and external audits, including supplier audits.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action using quality tools (8D, 5 Why, DMAIC).
• Maintain and review specifications, certifications, and documentation.
• Represent Dunmore in supplier/customer quality meetings.
• Track non-conformances, oversee resolution efforts, and report outcomes.
• Back up the Quality Manager to ensure consistent oversight of quality operations.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Dunmore's values.
• Communicate quality performance and improvement activities across departments.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with ISO9001 standards (AS9100 a plus)
• Internal or lead auditor experience
• Working knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, APQP, Six Sigma, 8D, 5 Why, etc.).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively - you value teamwork and contribute positively to shared goals.

Education and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a quality-focused role.
• Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments preferred.
• ISO9001 certification is a plus.
